Privacy Policy
Holdfast: App & Site Blocker collects the following usage data when Share usage analytics is on: a random install ID and session ID; app version and build; operating system and version; device name; locale; time zone; first-touch attribution and deep-link UTM parameters, if present; screen views; taps and funnel steps; onboarding and permission results; app and site selection counts; custom domains typed; schedules; block actions and test results; unlock method and results; Settings actions; paywall placement, plan, price, currency and period; purchase and restore events; subscription state; and JavaScript error messages and stacks.
We use this data for analytics and app improvement. Our analytics provider, PostHog, stores it in the United States. We do not sell it or use it for cross-company advertising. RevenueCat processes purchase and subscription information as described below.
Consent and control
Analytics sharing is on by default. You can turn it off at any time in Settings → Share usage analytics. Turning it off stops new events from being sent and clears the local analytics queue.
What stays on your device
Your blocks, schedules, app and website selections, and settings are stored on your device; the custom domains you type are also sent as analytics events, as listed above. Apple Screen Time supplies opaque selection tokens; Holdfast cannot read them as app names.
Safari content blocking
Safari rules run in Apple's content-blocking system. Holdfast does not receive your browsing history or the pages you visit.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the Lifetime purchase are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. Apple processes payment; Holdfast does not receive payment details. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipts, such as the product bought and renewal information. RevenueCat does not receive your name or email from Holdfast. Retention and deletion
Analytics data is kept until you ask us to delete it. To request deletion of analytics data, email holdfast@madewithmodels.com. You can also use Delete all data in Settings to clear on-device data or delete the app. Apple and RevenueCat purchase records follow their own policies.
Other network activity
Expo's update service may check for and download app updates. Reminders and notifications are scheduled locally.
