Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of Holdfast: App & Site Blocker for iPhone. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.
Who provides Holdfast
Holdfast is provided by Jesse King, the developer named on the App Store ("we", "us").
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Holdfast on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to the App Store terms and Apple's standard end user licence agreement.
Subscriptions and purchases
- Monthly and Annual are auto-renewing subscriptions.
- Lifetime is a one-time purchase.
- Payment is billed by Apple to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.
Apple's standard End User Licence Agreement applies to the app and is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
No guarantee the blocker is impossible to bypass
Holdfast uses iOS's built-in Screen Time and content-blocking systems. Those systems have limits, and iOS always lets a determined user change system settings or remove the app. We do not guarantee that blocking can never be bypassed.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for your own unlock and override rules, including any codes, passphrases, or partner codes you set up. Keep them safe. We cannot recover codes you forget or extend a block on your behalf.
No warranty
Holdfast is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your expectations.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Holdfast. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
